New Group Member

We got a new group member this week. Her name is Alexa Medrano. She is focusing on eating disorders. She will be getting stories on why people have that and we will all talk to them. Thanks see you next week.

Week Five

On week five we started recording. We filmed a little part of our project. This is coming along great. Were getting a lot of stories now. I have at least three and my partners are still in the process of working on getting the stories. We recorded a segment and we just need to start recording more parts and this project will be coming along swell. I have started to decorate the scrapbook. Another thing is that I have got a special story. It is about a girl who talked to me she has been clean for eight months. I talked to her for a while about how proud I was of her. We also found a common interest. We found out about what saved her life. It was music. It calms me down and it helped her a lot. It was the same type as music as well. Well after we finished talking I still congratulate her every month. Well no matter how long you have been clean. I will always be proud of you because you are making the best decision of your life trust me. Thank you for being you.

Week three

On week three we started getting stories. The stories are about depression. We each got a story from somewhere. We share who got them if that person wants people to know who they are. The story that I got is about a girl. Around my age. She use to self-harm herself. She was really emotional at the time. She just didn't want her mom to find out so she had to look for a substitute for cutting. So she was always listening to music. One time She broke down and ended up doing it again. She knew she had to stay clean so she started to write and read and still listen to music so now she has been clean for three months. I am so proud of her I actually took her out to eat cause she deserves it so much. I am so proud to say that I know her so well.
That is one of the stories I got this week. We should start recording very soon. Thank you.

Week 2

Welcome back. On week two we are going to start record our progress. We are going to record our progress in the next weeks. We will also be taking the pictures so I, Ashley will start forming the scrapbook. The scrapbook is mainly to show the progress we have done in the weeks. The videos are to show what we did, sort of behind the scenes of the interviews and it will also show our interviews. The interview videos won't show everything because the people getting interviewed might not want to show everything they talk about. I'm not saying they will talk a lot because they might be insecure about somethings they say. We really want to make sure that the people we interview know they can trust someone like us and we don't want them to feel embarrassed or something like that. To sum up, this week we are starting to record our beginning part and starting I, Ashley will start the scrapbook.

Week One

Week One

On week one we finished up our proposal. The proposal stated what our project is about. Our project is to raise awareness about people who self-harm. Also, to help the people to understand from their eyes. To see how the world revolves in their eyes. Basically to help and understand them.

We are starting to meet up now after school. We are going to start to talk about what times were gonna start talking to people. The very first thing were going to be doing is research about self-harm and depression. To understand what triggers it. Then were going to start to interview and record and taking pictures of the things we do to show our progress. Then towards the end we will put everything together.

This project will really help to raise the awareness of self-harm. We will help people really understand the people who do self-harm. We want people who self-harm understand that not everyone is out to hurt them there are people who really want to help and want to understand their point of view.
